Taj Mahal - Tomb of Akbar the Great

So we woke up to the sunrise and headed to Taj Mahal. At first the situation didn’t look as everyone had said, they opened the ticket counter later than we were told, there’s an important queue, as there wasn’t suppose to be, and in the end, they opened the main entrance after sunrise… but! Let’s leave the negative side of it aside.

Taj Mahal is an insanely wonderful building, it’s huge, doesn’t matter from which angle you look at it, it’s impressive, and the fact that it was built in marble with carved stones on it makes it even more beautiful. Now if you want to take pictures of this place, or you want to take a picture of yourself at this place, good luck, there will be always someone behind you, or you even have to queue for certain spots, but doable in the end.

We spend more than 2h in here and after we had a nap back at the hostel.

In the afternoon we had lunch and started to rain heavily, that made us doubt between heading back to the hostel and do some work. The really bad internet connection at the hostel and the not so bad looking clouds helped us to go to the Tomb of Akbar the Great, and that was a fantastic decision, this place is even bigger, maybe not as beautiful as Taj Mahal, but unique in its own way, and I was incredibly happy to find some puddles where to take new perspective pictures!
